Many years ago, my sister (-in-law), Judy, Retired2stamp, invited me to a Stampin' Up Party. I was drawn to the 6X6 recipe card swap our local group was doing and had wanted to scrapbook too. I wasn't really interested in card making because I had witnessed my brother (in-law) Ed fold up a handmade card and put it in his pocket. I almost fainted and I didn't even make the card. But after a few parties, I was hooked and now make more cards than I had ever thought I would. My most recent passions are ATCs, tags & altered art. As you look through my blog I hope you can see how I've grown in my crafting ability!

Lost Tooth
This is a kit from ScrapbookFunAddicts & was designed by Terri Zaelit. I bought it a few years ago from their booth at CKC. It was a fun kit to put together & no, that's not patterned paper! All those stars were put on individually but it wasn't as time consuming as it looks. I've purchased alot of their kits & they're easy to put together! I did make one change. I only had 3 photos so I took one of the photo mats & made it a little smaller then put my journaling on it. I also turned those photos a tad.
Here's a close up of the Tooth Fairy. Isn't she cute? And easy to assemble! Per the instructions, I used a white gel pen & a fine black marker to do the outlining. Her wings are vellum & the instructions were to use Color Box Chestnut Roan on the back of them. I didn't think it would look good but it almost makes them look pink. I'm glad I used that color! She's popped up using dimensionals.
The tooth is actually a treasure box that you can put a tooth in. The "window" of the tooth is a piece of acrylic. There is an oval piece of card stock with a dimensional sticky strip around it & then put on the back of the tooth. The tooth is then popped up. I think the string is a cute touch! Thanks for looking & I hope you enjoyed!
