Many years ago, my sister (-in-law), Judy, Retired2stamp, invited me to a Stampin' Up Party. I was drawn to the 6X6 recipe card swap our local group was doing and had wanted to scrapbook too. I wasn't really interested in card making because I had witnessed my brother (in-law) Ed fold up a handmade card and put it in his pocket. I almost fainted and I didn't even make the card. But after a few parties, I was hooked and now make more cards than I had ever thought I would. My most recent passions are ATCs, tags & altered art. As you look through my blog I hope you can see how I've grown in my crafting ability!

Frosty!

Although Tim Holtz isn't doing his monthly tag challenge this year, we have so much to learn so we decided to continue making tags using his past techniques.  I got together with my peeps at The Craft Shack to make our versions of Tim's Day 2 of 12 Tag of Christmas from December 2, 2007.  His technique was embossed painted resist & we really loved how the background was inked too.

The snowflakes & background were done following his instructions.  I first stamped the tall pine trees m iced spruced ink using a frayed burlap marker on the trunks but it was very light so I offset stamped in peeled paint & walnut stain.

When I put the glass glitter over the stickles, I ended up with blogs of glitter.  I used my pick to spread the glitter around & remove some of the bigger chunks.  I decided to research adhering glass glitter & found a tip on using Modge Podge.  My peeps tried it & not only did it dry quick but it was easier to control the "dots" by using the tip of a small paint brush.  I should have put my stickles on my mat then dotted my project.  I added stickles without glitter, a strip of bling & a few random pieces of bling.  We made ghost snowflakes from window sheets & Tim's mini snowflake die.

To finish up, I painted a Frosty token & added it to my fluffy bow along with a skate charm.  BTW, I learned how to make my fabulous fluffy bow from Frederique Sleijpen-Mommers.  I've never been able to master bow makng but Freddie's fluffy bow tutorial made it so easy!  Hope you check it out.

Hope you enjoyed my tag & check out one of my peep's blog, Lisa Brown AKA Runs with Scissors's blog for her version!  TFL!

Love You!

I designed this Valentine Day's card for The Craft Shack's Card Club.  I just love this paper from Maja Design & even though it's from a Christmas paper pack it's perfect for Valentine's Day!

I placed 2 pieces of Maja Design I Wish 12-x-12 DSP on SU Real Red CS then added it to the Neenah Premium 110lb Extra Heavy Card stock base.  The strip of red CS was embossed with a Dots EF; I die cut a  Elizabeth Craft Jewels 1 Die in white.  I trimmed it to fit then added Starform Red Dot Stickers for a little bling.  The LittleB Heart Dies not only cut but embosses too.  The small white heart is popped up.  The words are from Tim Holtz Celebration Script Words & I went over them with clear Wink of Stella.

Hope you liked my simple Valentine's Day Card!  Thanks for visiting my blog.
